Product Development Consultant focused on German market

Modular Management Sweden

Background

Do you want to transform the industry? Modular Management is a consulting firm that works with international companies to create and deploy market-driven product platforms, built on modular principles. In this role you will work with some of the greatest companies in the world, in industries as varied as home appliances, robotics, telecom, and construction.

What You Will Do

You will be a part of a team delivering cross-functional programs at large and medium size industrial/product companies that range from a few months to several years. Together with your colleagues you will support the customers’ transformation journey based on Modular Management’s leading insight in how modularization, configuration, and composable product platforms are fundamental for improved business profitability.

The areas of work could include areas such as modularization, supply chain management, mechanical, electronics or software design, product configuration, and information management of configurable products.

This role is focused on working with our German business.

Typical tasks:

- Drive, follow up, and report workstreams together with customer to ensure plans and targets are met.

- Lead, support and document customer workshops.

- Gather and analyze relevant information from different stakeholders at customer.

- Suggest improvements based on findings and create action plans.

- Drive and follow up activities together with colleagues and customers to ensure plans and targets are met.

- Document product architecture data in our unique platform management software, PALMA.

You will also contribute to Modular Management's method development, continuously seek new knowledge, build networks, and take part in business development.

What We Offer

If you enjoy working with top colleagues in a global setting, we can offer great development opportunities. The position is based at our head office in central Stockholm but focused on our German business. The job can be largely performed remotely with the flexibility to manage your own time. Travelling to clients throughout Europe will occur on a regular basis. If you live in or would like to move to Germany, we can arrange for employment with our German business instead.

In a smaller, niche consultancy you will get to learn all parts of the business. We all work as consultants in a non-hierarchical organization, where even the most experienced consultants share similar tasks with new employees. Staff turnover is low, the company prioritizes work-life balance, and you get to learn something new every day. We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package.

Skills and Experience

For this role we are searching for any level of seniority, from recent graduates to experienced professionals.

We see that several areas of experience and interest may be relevant for the position: You can work in business development/product development/production development within a major industry/product company. You can also be a management consultant today and work towards technology/manufacturing companies where you may be attracted to the modularization and configuration concept and Modular Management's corporate culture. Another possible background is that you work at a technology consultancy, want a strategic role in the projects, and to see the entire value chain.

Specifically, we see that you have:

- University degree in Engineering in a relevant field such as: Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or another similar program. You could also have a business degree combined with relevant skills and experience from your career.

- Professional working proficiency in German and English, written and spoken. Minimum CEFR B2 (ILR 3) level.
