Innovate, Learn, and Grow with Modular Management
Our History
Our journey began in the early 1990s with researchers from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and IVF Swedish Institute of Production Engineering Research. Inspired by modularization’s potential in product design, our team studied how leaders like Sony, Honda, and Scania applied these principles to address complex product structures.
With insights from this research, we developed a structured model for modularization, helping companies meet changing customer needs and rapid technological shifts. In 1996, we launched Modular Management to share our research-based strategies with businesses seeking streamlined product development.
Today, our toolkit includes 20 methods and over 70 specialized tools, supporting clients worldwide—including Whirlpool, Ericsson, ABB, and Volvo — from our headquarters in Stockholm and offices in the U.S., Asia, and Germany. Close collaboration with these companies continually drives us to refine modularization techniques, ensuring they remain fast, effective, and cutting-edge.
