MY SHORT STORY
”I get energized when I talk to clients about how they can increase business value.”
Finding a practical solution to a specific task always drives me. My approach is a kind of hand-on Pareto: understand the bigger picture and realize results without getting lost in the details.
During my industrial career – building filtration systems for industrial applications – I always faced the conflict between what customers want, and how effectively and efficiently it can be realized. My experience is that in order to meet customer demands successfully, it’s mandatory to work with different perspectives across functions. Understanding and involving other people’s views, demands and expertise is a key success driver – and a fine balancing act.
When I first came across Modular Management it was an eye opener. I realized that this methodology – business modularity – is the missing link to better understand customer needs and design products from an outside-in perspective. This is what can connect functions and drive cross-functional cooperation, not least thanks to a flexible and company-wide product architecture.
My desire to develop solutions together with customers always spurs me on. For me it’s all about solving challenges to realize sustainable business value. I get energized when clients discover new ways of working and understand how they can increase business value over the long term.
